PRESS RELEASE: March 17, 2020

While it is likely not a surprise to most of you, the government restrictions limiting public gatherings to minimize the risk of transmission of the CoVid-19 virus, has severely limited our ability to go ahead with the 2020 Boogie the Bridge. The uncertainty that we all face at this time will require us to band together as a community and while we will be able to get through this unprecedented event, it is with heavy hearts that we are officially cancelling the 2020 Boogie the Bridge. The world events that we are seeing at this time demands our attention and those of our wonderful and dedicated Boogie team volunteers.

We thank all of our amazing sponsors and participants who support us year over year.

For those of you who have already registered for the 2020 Boogie the Bridge, you will have the option of a refund, deferring your registration to the 2021 Boogie the Bridge or donating your registration fee to our Charity of Choice, the First Nations Youth Theatre Program under the umbrella of the Western Canada Theatre. Please email [email protected] with your choice of what they want you would like done with your registration – refund, defer or donate. Team captains using promo codes will be contacted soon by our registration team to discuss what is to be done with your company registrations.

Special Registration Instructions:
  • To Register as an IndividualChoose “Individual” and enter the information until registration confirmation is received.
  • To Create a Team: Choose “Team,” then choose “Create a Team”, and continue following instructions until the registration is confirmed.
    • Note: When creating a Team, one person must be registered before a team is created.  If the Team Captain is not going to be participating, they will need to have all the information and payment needed to register one team member.
    • Note: If the Team wants to pay for all the registrations with a corporate cheque or credit card after the team is complete, they must get a PROMO CODE from [email protected] PRIOR to creating the team.  This PROMO CODE would be used to allow individuals to register without having to provide payment at the time of registration.
    • Note: If you want the individuals to have to use a password to register on your team, you can create an Access Code when you Create the Team.  This will restrict who can register on your team.
  • To Join a Team: Choose “Team,” choose “Join a Team,” search for the team name and continue with your registration as guided.

  • All Adult registrations receive a New Balance tech shirt! All other registrations receive a t-shirt. *Important* Deadline for shirts is March 31, 2019. Sample sizes are available to try on at Runners Sole. (Sizing chart here).
  • Please note that “” will appear on your credit card statement for any payments made. Sorry no refunds!
  • Online Registrations will close at noon on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
  • Manual Registrations (cash/cheque only) can be dropped off at  Runners Sole.
  • In person registrations will be accepted at the Race Expo and up to 8 am Boogie morning.
  • All prices do not include taxes, Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions.
  • Registrants are able to downgrade to a shorter race, upgrade to a longer race or make changes to your registration information by contacting the registrar or at the Boogie Expo April 24 & 25th.  We are unable to accept any changes once the Expo is over.


In consideration of you accepting this entry, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all right of claim to
damages I may have against the organizers holding this race, their agents, representatives, successors and assigns, and the sponsors, for any and all injuries I may sustain during the course of the event.
