Join the Mini Boogie Fun!

What is Mini Boogie?

The Mini Boogie is an integral part of Boogie the Bridge! We strive to support our youngest community members in fostering positive, fun, and memorable connections! We’ve created a fun day for youth ages nine years old and younger to have fun through community and movement.

To ensure participant safety, our Mini Boogie has three fantastic components:

1. 1. our fun 1K route
   2. the kids participation packs/goodie bags
   3. the Mini Boogie Bingo activity!

Accessibility and inclusivity are important to the Mini Boogie. Children are welcome to participate by walking, running, and cheering for other Mini Boogiers! All kids, aged 5 and under, participating in the 1K Mini Boogie must be accompanied by an adult, while on the course. It is recommended that adults (or escorts) accompany children over 5. There is no fee for adult escorts or parents unless a T-shirt is requested.

Please reach out if we can make Mini Boogie more accessible and/or inclusive. Facilitating community engagement among families and youth is our top priority!

Mini Boogie Details

Mini Boogie is on the same Sunday as Boogie the Bridge! Youth ages nine years old and younger are invited on a 1K route that begins in the 200 block of Victoria Street. Youth registered in the Mini Boogie will receive a medal and a celebratory participation pack full of goodies. Uncle Chris the Clown will be there to ensure lots of Mini Boogie fun!

The Mini Boogie Bingo activity is back this year, and we have great prizes up for grabs! Every registered youth will receive a Mini Boogie Bingo Card. Work on a “BINGO!” by locating mascots, finding landmarks, stretching, and more for a chance to win prizes!

Participating in Mini Boogie is one wonderful way to create memories and engage with our community! You also help support our Charities of Choice with your registration!

Calling all Mini Boogie artists!

Every year, one of our very own Boogie kids gets to design that year’s Mini Boogie race shirt! How awesome is that?!

If you have a creative hand and would like to submit, here are the guidelines:

• • Students up to the age of 9 (from K – 4) are invited to submit.
  • No more than 3 colors can be used to create the design.

Once submitted, the Boogie Committee chooses a design that best represents the joy of movement and community health. The artist will receive a free entry into mini boogie that includes the t-shirt with their design, which will be worn by all child participants in the Mini-Boogie that year.
